A note from our founder
Welcome!
I’m Amy, the founder of Unearth. In my years as a counselor, I witnessed how experiences of psychological trauma profoundly change our relationship with our body. This is why I created Unearth. A practice dedicated to generating the conditions for healing by using body based therapeutic approaches to wellness.
Here we hold true that both joy and pain are realities of life and that suffering can be transformed into meaningful growth. We acknowledge how healing can only happen when a quality of presence is cultivated and maintained in the company of another human being. We support the ability for an individual to develop the capacity to be fully present in their body and seek to nurture self-regulation methods for people to live a more conscious life.
In these pages, I hope you encounter your innate wisdom by cultivating your own embodied movement practice.
“As each session progressed I would become more aware of my body. Just by allowing me to experience my feelings truthfully and honestly in an environment where I knew I was not going to be shamed or attacked.”
