What is Trauma Sensitive Yoga?

The relationship comes first

In Trauma Sensitive Yoga we invite participants to be in relationship with us by highlighting that we can each make different choices about what we do on our mats and with our bodies while still being in community with one another. It is here we celebrate and name our individuality while building connections together. Everyone’s history is an essential and valued part of a new whole that we shape collectively.

A modern approach

Unearth seeks to share power with participants and simply show up as one human being with another. We focus our attention on creating a mutual relationship, understanding there is no need to be an expert on the other’s experience. Rather, we empower individuals to foster their own recovery path.
